#ThrowbackThursday "Champion of Children" 9-11 Tribute

Since Wednesday was the 18th anniversary of September 11th terror attacks, I decided to share the memorial drawing I made the following year.

This drawing stars Junior Raw and Li'l Madd Skillz from Champion of Children, the comic about kid super heroes that I was self-publishing with my friends, the mighty GhostWerks crew at the time.

Here's a couple pages I drew for a short Champ story called Da Old School.

Champion of Children stars a 5 year old girl Li'l Madd Skillz, the current bearer of  the title Champion of Children.

One of the gags of book is that almost all of the characters are superheroes (or villains), including Maddy's parents, and her brother Junior Raw.

Champion of Children was a lot of fun.

We probably created a hundred kid superhero characters that never made it into the book.  There was a kid hero team KHW (Kid Heroes of the World), the evil kid alliance known as LIKWID (League of International Kids With Intent to Destroy), and Parent Teacher Association.

You can get a look at the stories we did create via the collection Champion of  Children: I'm Known As The Champ, which collects all the stories we did manage to create and publish.
Read it on KINDLE!

I could ramble forever talkin' about Champion of Children, but I'm sure we all got things to do today!

Talk to you later, fam!
