PREVIEW- "Da Old School" from "Champion of Children Vol 1"

For those who have never read it, Champion of Children is about kid superheroes (because kid villains have to be stopped by kid heroes, right?). The greatest kid hero at any given time inherits the title "Champion of Children" along with the requisite privileges and responsibilities. The current Champion of Children is 5 year old martial arts powered hero Li'l Madd Skillz, but this particular short story Da Old School stars her big brother Junior Raw, and his friend Smash Boogie (whose name I only learned after drawing this story, by the way). To help promote our Kickstarter campaign, Champ co-creator and writer Corance Davis has empowered me to offer Da Old School in its entirety...

Please buy YOURSELF something for my Birthday

Hey there! Today I turned 37 years old. I won't be partying hard though. I'll be working hard drawing comics for my client, blogging, doing Daddy Day Care with my daughter and generally making the ends get acquainted. All I really want for my Birthday (or any other day) is to be productive and successful. The best present YOU can give me today is to buy one or more of the products I have available.

Image of the Month for April

the Image of the Month for April on samaxAmen.com is Maddy's Mug, starring Li'l Madd Skillz of Champion of Children. I have a full-color Champ short story that has been put on hiatus because i've been doing so well in my freelance work. but now that Corance has another artist working on a brand-new story starring Burner, i imagine i'll find a way to get my story back on its feet sooner than expected! also, if you are into kid's comics, peep the Champion of Children blog for reviews of books and comics
for the young'uns!

new Champion of Children story in the works!

greetings, Family! hope everyone's doing well... i think this is a good time to announce that i'm working on a NEW Champion of Children story! i wrote it a long time ago, but always wanted to collab with other people on it. having given up on that, i finally mustered up enough energy to draw it myself! i'm not sure how long it will be, so we'll see... but i have broken down the first five pages, and i'm feeling good about it!

it will star the Champ, (seen here) with her whole fam, (Big Madd Skillz, Junior Raw, and 2 Raw), and cameos by every major Champ hero and villain! Plus, a special guest that might just earn me a lawsuit! anyways, 'till then, enjoy the fresh pic!
peace, love, etc.
